BENTON — Jeanene R. Thompson, 76, of Benton died Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Marshall County Hospital.

Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker and member of First Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Powell of Benton; one brother, Jerry Rose of Benton; two sisters, JoAnn Evans and Janice Chiles, both of Benton; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Landron “Jack” Thompson; her stepfather, John Lents; two sons, Darryl Thompson and Alan Dale Thompson; one daughter, Landa Daniels; and one brother. Her parents were Tom Rose and Lola Mae Gore Rose.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Collier Funeral Home with Alan Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Benton Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. today, March 19, 2013, at the funeral home.
