Catherine “Jean” Evans, 89, of Paducah and Marshall County died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

Mrs. Evans was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Paducah. She was organist at St. Thomas More Catholic Church for several years. She also worked as a secretary.

She is survived by three daughters, Cathy Ray of Paducah, Sharon Evans of Brookville, Md., and Carol Evans of Lady’s Island, S.C.; four sons, Bob Evans of Benton, David Evans and Paul Evans of Paducah, and Patrick Evans of Brandon, Fla.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and nine nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Walter Evans, and one sister.

There will be a funeral Mass followed by a Celebration of Life at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. There will be no visitation.
