GILBERTSVILLE — Heather Michelle Gainey and James Edwin Wood were united in marriage Jan. 13 at the Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park Convention Center. The Rev. Jack Kee officiated. Recorded music was provided by Daniel Lee of Grand Rivers.
The bride is the daughter of Will Gainey of Ledbetter and Anita Bacon of Grand Rivers.
The groom is the son of Bob Wood of Smithland and Connie Morris of Grand Rivers.
The bride chose Mrs. Melissa Franklin of Burna as her matron of honor. Bridesmaid was Miss Marissa Copeland of Calvert City. Miss Sydnie Wood, daughter of Dustin and Kayla Wood of Smithland, was the flower girl. Serving as ringbearer was Landan Wood, son of the groom and Leigh Joiner of Ledbetter.
The groom chose Bubba Copeland of Calvert City as his best man. Groomsman was Chris Gainey of Ledbetter, brother of the bride. Ushers were Gregory Sledd of Grand Rivers and Shane Wood of Smithland.
A reception followed. Mrs. Courtney Watkins of Marshall County attended the guest registry.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Livingston Central High School in Smithland and earned an associate degree in medical assisting from Daymar College in Paducah in 2008. She is employed by Purchase Cancer Group of Paducah.
The groom is a 1993 graduate of Livingston Central High School in Smithland and is a member of Carpenters Local Union No. 357 in Paducah.
They reside in Palma.
