MAYFIELD — James Dillard Rodgers, 81, of Mayfield died at 7:21 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.

Mr. Rodgers was a member of Millers Chapel Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a 1951 graduate of Lowes High School. He worked for Covington Brothers Wholesale Groceries, Leland Waggoner Radiator Shop and Mayfield City Schools.

He is survived by his wife, Annie Rodgers; two sons, James Darrell Rodgers of Hickory and Dale Rodgers of Lexington; one daughter, Cathy Rodgers McCuan of Tri-City; one brother, John Willard Rodgers of Graves County; one sister, Betty Maynard of Graves County; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. His parents were James Hubert and Gladys Perkins Rodgers.

Private family services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Mayfield Memory Gardens with the Rev. Tony Adams officiating. There will be no visitation. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
