METROPOLIS, Ill. — Jacqueline Sue Hard of Silver Spring, Md., formerly of Metropolis, died Sept. 2 at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring.

She attended Douglas College in New Brunswick, N.J., where she earned a bachelor of science degree in mathematics and physics. She worked for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and later for the National Institutes of Health. She was a member of Mensa International.

She is survived by her twin sister, Judi Storms of Corpus Christi, Texas, and one brother, Michael Hard of Sarasota, Fla. Her parents were Lavene Reynolds Hard and James C. Hard.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, North Avenue in Metropolis.

Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis is in charge of arrangements.

The Rev. Dr. Billy Storms will officiate. Donations may be made to the Montgomery County Humane Society, 14645 Rothgeb Drive, Rockville, MD 20850.
