Odie Wayne Hutchison of Brookport, Ill., announces the engagement of his daughter, Ashley Dawn Hutchison, to Jason Wayne Sledd, son of Dale Sledd of Joppa, Ill., and Becky Sledd of Metropolis, Ill.

Miss Hutchison is the granddaughter of Odie L. and Sandra Hutchison of Brookport, Ill. She is a graduate of Massac County High School and Shawnee Community College and attended West Kentucky Community & Technical College. She is a registered nurse employed at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis, Ill.

Mr. Sledd is the grandson of Donna and Jack Clark of New York. He is a graduate of Joppa High School in Joppa, Ill., and Murray State University in Murray, Ky. He is employed at Electric Energy Inc. in Joppa.

A June wedding is planned.
