Jack and Bernice Humphrey of Owensboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Beth Humphrey, to Charles “Charlie” Ralph Shoulta II, son of Kenny and Carol Shoulta of Paducah.

Miss Humphrey is the granddaughter of Jeanette Mohon of Utica and the late James Houston Mohon, and the late Guy and Henrietta Humphrey. She is a 2000 graduate of Apollo High School, a 2004 cum laude graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College with a bachelor’s degree in elementary/middle school education and earned a master’s degree in school counseling in 2011 from Western Kentucky University. She is employed by the Daviess County School District in Owensboro.

Mr. Shoulta is the grandson of Ann Vaughan of Paducah and the late Tommy Vaughan, and Rosalee Shoulta of Paducah and the late Charles Shoulta. He is a 1999 graduate of St. Mary High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in middle school education in 2005 from Murray State University. He is pursuing a master’s degree in middle school mathematics from the University of the Cumberlands and is employed by the Daviess County School District in Owensboro.

A July wedding is planned at Our Lady Of Lourdes Catholic Church in Owensboro.
