Dancing Raisins

Ingredients

n clear carbonated soda

n tall transparent glass

n raisins

Instructions

n Step 1: Fill the tall transparent glass half of the way with the clear carbonated soda.

n Step 2: Drop several raisins into the glass and watch.

Explanation

The clear carbonated soda releases bubbles of carbon dioxide gas — one of the many gases found naturally in the air. These bubbles stick to the surface of the raisins. The raisins then lift up through the soda. Once the raisins reach the surface, the bubbles pop and the raisins sink back to the bottom.
