Mr. and Mrs. Mitch Helm of Metropolis, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristin Elizabeth Helm, to Landon Mitchel Bremer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mitch Bremer of Metropolis, Ill.

Miss Helm is the granddaughter of Barbara Caudle of Metropolis, Ill., Jerry Caudle of Olmsted, Ill., Hazel Helm of Grand Chain, Ill., and the late Frank Helm. She is a 2007 graduate of Massac County High School in Metropolis and a 2012 graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale with a bachelor’s degree in communication disorders. She is employed by Big John’s in Metropolis.

Mr. Bremer is the grandson of Frances Bremer of Metropolis and the late Otis Bremer, and the late Elvis and Pauline Searles. He is a 2006 graduate of Massac County High School and a 2010 graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He is employed by City National Bank of Metropolis.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 5 p.m. June 16 at First United Methodist Church in Metropolis. All friends and relatives are invited to the ceremony and reception following at 6:30 p.m. at Gambit Golf Club in Vienna, Ill. Only out-of-town invitations are being sent.
