METROPOLIS, Ill. — Helen L. Westermann, 88, of Metropolis, formerly of Memphis and Mound City, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday at Southgate Health Care Center in Metropolis.

She was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Mound City and was a retired secretary with General Motors Corporation in Memphis.

She is survived by four nieces; three nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers; her parents were Joseph and Ellen Westermann.

Funeral Mass will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Marys Catholic Church in Mound City with the Rev. Chris Mujule officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Cemetery in Mounds.

Friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday until time of services at the church.
