MAYFIELD — Harry Joe Madding, 83, of Mayfield died Friday at the home of his daughter.

He was a member of Clarks River Baptist Church in Graves County, a retired self-employed heavy-equipment operator, and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by three sons, Rickie Joe Madding and Teddy Madding, both of Mayfield, and Terry L. Madding of Hickory; two daughters, Nekida A. Carter of Leitchfield, Ill., and Rebecca Sue Cox of Paducah; one sister, Betty Johnson of Bowling Green; two brothers, Jimmy Lynn Madding and Morris Madding, both of Mayfield; 17 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Maybelle Madding; second wife, Rachel Madding; two sons, Alan and Tim Madding; and one grandson. His parents were Harry Dee and Bobbie Bivens Madding.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Byrn Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Watts officiating. Burial will follow at Mayfield Memory Gardens. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
