BARDWELL — Harold Freeman Gardner, 71, of Bardwell died at 3:49 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Baptist Health Paducah.

Mr. Gardner was retired from the City of Rock Hill Water Treatment Facility in Rock Hill, S.C., and was a member of Mayfield Creek Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Brenda Rohrer Gardner; one daughter, Becky Norris of Bardwell; two sons, Nathan Gardner of Bardwell and Mark Gardner of Mayfield; two sisters, Rachel Koebecke and Doris Shaddack of Bessemer, Ala.; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers. His parents were Roscoe and Euna Bishop Gardner.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Mayfield Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Norris officiating. Burial will be in Dublin Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites.

Friends may call at the church after 5 p.m. today, Feb. 19, 2013, and after 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013.

Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield is in charge of arrangements.
