BARDWELL — Glyn Wallace Forgey, 77, of Bardwell died at Lourdes hospital Tuesday at 2:25 p.m.
He was a member of Bardwell Church of Christ, heavy equipment operator for TVA, and an avid golfer, often called Fairway Forgey.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Scott Forgey of Bardwell; three daughters, Gwen Hartman and husband Mike, of Georgetown, Ind., Diane Elliott and husband Keith, of Kirbyton, and Holly Oliver and husband Todd of Lone Oak; two sisters, Elsie Beardsley of Cunningham and Roxie McChristian of Athens, Ala.; six grandchildren, Chelsea Cooper of Georgetown, Ind., Coleen Burn of Louisville, Ky., Carrie Elliott of Kirbyton, Kinsey Elliott of Kirbyton, Courtney Oliver of Lone Oak, and T.J. Oliver of Lone Oak.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lela Lay Forgey; two sisters; and four brothers.
Services for Mr. Forgey will be held Saturday, November 24, at 11 a.m. at the Bardwell Church of Christ with Michael Trivette officiating and burial following at Roselawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bardwell Church of Christ for visitation after 5 p.m. Friday. Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell is in charge of arrangements.
