METROPOLIS, Ill. — Gloria Evelyn Morse Benavidez died November 29, 2012, at her home in Canyon, Texas.

She was born in Pope County, Ill.

She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Miner; one son, John Paul Griswald, both of Canyon, Texas.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Gayle West of Cypress, Paula Pike of Aurora, and Kathryn Crowell of Marion; and two brothers, Dayle Morse of Simpson and Jack Morse of Metropolis.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Wilbur Griswald Jr.; her second husband, Paul Benavidez Jr.; one sister; and one brother. Her parents were Paul and Missouri (Bowman) Morse.

A prayer service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Aly Funeral Home, Eddyville, Ill. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in the Rock community of Pope County.
