ATWOOD, Tenn. — Glendon Kelley Copeland, 95, of Atwood, Tenn., formerly of Benton, Ky., died Saturday at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Humboldt, Tenn. He was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. He honorably served his country during World War II, serving in both the United States Air Force and the United States Army.
He is survived by one daughter, Glenna Faye Capps of Atwood; one sister, Ela May Vaughn of Benton, Ky., four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. His parents were Lemor A. Copeland and Edna (Kelley) Copeland.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, with Bro. David Brasher officiating.
Interment with military rites is to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Benton.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday and up until the funeral hour at 2 p.m.
