BOAZ — Geraldine Kornegay Carroll, 89, of Boaz died at 6 a.m. Thursday at her home.

She is survived by one son, Mike Carroll of Boaz; one grandson, Ronnie Joe Carroll; and two sisters, Mary Pendegrass of Lone Oak and Callie Mae Smith of Boaz.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Carroll, and one son, Joe Ed Carroll. Her parents were Robert Kornegay and Emma Velma Brewer.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Boaz with the Rev. Topper Council officiating. There will be no visitation. The family requests no flowers.
