George E. Baker, 57, of Ledbetter died at 2:03 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Western Baptist Hospital.
He was a retired U.S. Army veteran of 22 years. He was a member of Oaks Church of God in Paducah and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Gregory Baker; one daughter, Faeren Danielle Lenai Baker of Newport News, Va.; two stepdaughters, Amberly Dawn Seilheimer and Ashley Autumn Shanks, both of Paducah; one stepson, Micah Thomas Vied of Ledbetter; two sisters, Linda Ray of Paducah and Tama Underburger of Metropolis, Ill.; three brothers, Dallas Woodford, Donald Woodford, and Terry Woodford, all of Paducah; seven stepgrandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and great- nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Edward Baker and Betty Jean Turner Baker Wittenbach.
Services will be at 11 a m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Revs. Richard Dobbs and Larry Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Ledbetter.
