ARLINGTON, Va. — Gayle Harper Bolin, 73, of Arlington, Va., died Saturday, August 11, 2012, at her home.

She was a graduate of Heath High School and received her bachelor’s degree from University of Kentucky. Gayle obtained her Master’s Degree in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University. She served as a social worker for 35 years.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert L. Bolin Jr. of Arlington, Va.; a daughter, Heather Bolin Amos of Centreville, Va.; two grandchildren, Tyler L. Amos and Katrina L. Amos, both of Centreville; and one brother, Billy Harper of Paducah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James “Bill” Harper and Zulema Nall Harper.

Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. George N. Jaeger officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday.
