BENTON — Mr. and Mrs. Gary Byers of Benton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Central Church of Christ in Benton. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple request in lieu of gifts, donations be made to the Benevolent Fund of Central Church of Christ in Benton.

Mr. Byers and the former Carolyn Faye Puckett were married Feb. 16, 1963, by John Hicks in Hardin.

Mr. and Mrs. Byers are co-owners of Countryside Manufactured Homes. Mrs. Byers is the daughter of the late Glada and Sid Puckett. Mr. Byers is the son of the late Gus and Wilma Byers.

They have three children: Cindy Weatherford of Franklin, Tenn., Michael Byers of Paducah and Angie Wheaton of Murray; and five grandchildren.
