Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Cooper of Paducah celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Mr. Bill’s restaurant in Grand Rivers.

Mr. Cooper and the former Susan A. Summers were married July 28, 1952, at Third Baptist Church in San Francisco, Calif., by the Rev. J.D. Haynes. Their attendants were Walter Lewis and Lois Lewis.

Mrs. Cooper is retired from the McCracken County Clerk’s Office. She is the daughter of the late W.A. and Lillie Summers.

Mr. Cooper is retired from the City of Paducah Fire Department. He is the son of the late Fred and Annie Cooper.

They have two children: Stephen Cooper of Jacksonville, Fla., and Carol Wilson of Benton; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
