SYMSONIA — Frank Leslie Lawson, age 88, of Symsonia, Ky., died Monday, October 29, 2012, at Lourdes hospital in Paducah, Ky.
Born January 12, 1924, in Crittenden County, Ky., he was a sales rep for Newton Manufacturing Company for 50 years, and the owner of Cochran’s Hardware in Marion, Ky. He was a member of Symsonia Methodist Church.
He was the son of the late Claude Lawson and the late Carrie (Easter) Lawson.
He is survived by two daughters, Donna McDaniel and husband Mike of Benton, Ky., and Dorothy Hughes of Marion, Ky.; three brothers, William Lawson of Reidland, Ky., Claude Lawson of Reidland, Ky., and Garland Lawson of Reidland, Ky.; seven grandchildren, Amy Hutchison of Marion, Ky., Rachelle McNeely of Clay, Ky., Renee Hurley of Nashville, Tenn., Carrie Burnett of Mayfield, Ky., Ashlee McDaniel of Paducah, Ky., Teresa Baird of Marion, Ky., Lisa Hughes of Marion, Ky., and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Relma Lee (Wood) Lawson; son-in-law, Roger Hughes; three brothers, Leonard, Uvil, and Clarence Lawson; and one sister, Floy Mae Patterson.
Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, P.O. Box 492, Benton, KY.
Funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012, with Rev. Ed Clement, Rev. Mark Stevens, and Rev. Lucy Tedrick officiating.
Interment will follow at Clarks River Cemetery in Symsonia, Ky.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012, at Collier Funeral Home.
