Mr. Frank W. Copeland Jr., 85, of Brookport, Ill., formerly of Kempton, Ind., passed away at 1:45 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2012, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Brookport Funeral Home. Rev. David Atwell will officiate. Burial will follow at Metropolis Memorial Gardens with military rites.
Frank attended Waldo Baptist Church and was a member of the American Legion. He was an Army veteran serving during World War II. Frank retired from Chrysler Corp. in Kokomo, Ind.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Copeland of Brookport, Ill.; and has two nieces, Melva Ann Lusby of Norman, Okla., and Kathy Wooten of Paducah; three nephews, Charles Harris of California, Victor Atwell of Kokomo, Ind., and David Atwell of Hickory; and precious friends Gene and Darlene Reynolds of Brookport, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank W. Copeland Sr. and Julia (Johnston) Copeland; and one sister, Alberta Harris.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2012, at Brookport Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Casey Atwell, Alex Wooten, Richard Wooten, Gene Reynolds, Joe Jenkins, and David Atwell.
