SIMPSON, Ill. — Mr. and Mrs. Norris Albert Schuchardt of Simpson will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Grove Church in Glendale. All friends and relatives are invited. The couple request no gifts.
Mr. Schuchardt and the former Frances Lorene Evitts were married Oct. 6, 1952, at the Clay County Courthouse in Piggott, Ark., with Judge T.A. French, justice of the peace, officiating. Their attendants were Hersel and Sylvia Schuchardt.
Mr. Schuchardt is retired from the University of Illinois Dixon Springs Ag Center and also operates the family farm along with his wife.
Mrs. Schuchardt is the daughter of the late Jessie and Whitnel Evitts. Mr. Schuchardt is the son of the late Hersel and Sylvia Schuchardt.
They have three children: N. Dewayne Schuchardt of Glendale, Nathan Schuchardt of Glendale, and Cheryl Crumpler of St. Augustine, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
