MAYFIELD — Services for Florence Idella “Jenkins” Boyd, 82, of Mayfield will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with Thomas Todd officiating. Burial will be in Peaceful Valley Cemetery.

Mrs. Boyd died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at her home.

She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Virgil Powell and Richard Howard Powell of Mayfield; two stepsons, Charles Anthony Kirby of Mayfield and Danny Moss of Chicago; one stepdaughter, Francine Kirby of Mayfield; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnell Boyd; one son, Kirksey Lynn Powell; three brothers, and one sister.

Her parents were George Washington and Clara Jones.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at the funeral home.
