FULTON — Ernestine Jackson of Alexandria, Va., formerly of Fulton, died Monday, February 25, 2013, at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Va.

She was a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, and Bethlehem Baptist Church in Alexandria, a housekeeper and a past Eastern Star member.

She is survived by her children, Kim Jackson, Anna Frances Davis, and Sherri Stevens, all of Alexandria,Va., Lorraine Pruitt and Maurice Jackson of Woodbridge, Va.; four sisters, Ethel Mae Woods and Sonia Jarrett, both of St. Louis, Clara Hurd of Rochester, N.Y., and Delores Harris of Springfield, Ill.; six brothers, Eugene Rainer and Luther Rainer, both of Rockford, Ill., David Jarrett of Houston, Algin Jarrett, Jr. of Fairview Heights, Ill., Michael Jarrett of Jalisco, Mexico, and Ernest Jarrett of Bolivar, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Jackson; one daughter, Mary Lene Blythe; three sons, Joseph Jackson, Donald Harold “Sonny” Jackson, and Derek Jackson; one sister; and one brother. Her parents were Algin Jarrett and Mattie Bell Spinks.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Mercer, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Rawls Funeral Home of South Fulton is in charge of arrangements.
