BROOKPORT, Ill. — Services for Erma Rogers, 75, of Brookport will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Roberts and Sons Mortuary, 524 Greensboro St., Winona, Miss., with the Rev. Johnny Butts officiating. Burial will be in Wilmount Cemetery in Kilmichael, Miss.

Mrs. Rogers died at 6:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis.

She was a member of Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church, where she served as church secretary and treasurer and was a choir member. She attended West Kentucky Vocational School, where she earned certification in tailoring, and was a retiree of Hawley Products.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, George W. Rogers; two sons, Armon Rogers of Chicago and Bert Rogers of Brookport; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Bradshaw and Verma T. Morris, both of Metropolis, and Mary Hardy of Brookport; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Her parents were Cary Nelson Jr. and Mamie Lee Henderson Nelson.

Local visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home in Paducah.

Friends may call at Roberts and Sons in Winona from noon until the funeral hour Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013.
