PRINCETON — Elvis H. Hillyard, 86, of the Flat Rock community died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Princeton Health and Rehab Center.

He was a retired self-employed carpenter, a member of Creswell Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita Marie Shinall Hillyard; two sons, Jerry Wayne Hillyard and Tommy Hillyard, both of Caldwell County; three daughters Carolyn Sigler of Caldwell County, Sandra Hill of Hanson and Shirley Pryor of Madisonville; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one grandchild. His parents were Victor Hillyard Sr. and Reba Mae Vinson Hillyard.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Morgan’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Jackson Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Rowland Cemetery in Caldwell County.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at the funeral home.
