BENTON — Elva Dean Gipson, 85, of Benton died Friday at her home.

She was retired from Ashby Chair Factory.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin Rudell Gipson; three sons, Alvin Ray Gipson and Larry Dale Gipson, both of Benton, and Joe Lee Gipson of Hardin; one daughter, Vickie Lynn Ford of Marion; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Her parents were Willie Joyce and Dolly (Pierce) Joyce.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Collier Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Charles Steele officiating. Interment will follow in Briensburg Cemetery.

Friends may call after noon Saturday at the funeral home.
