MAYFIELD — Edward L. Hendley, 82, of Mayfield died Friday, February 22, 2013, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.

He was a member of First Christian Church of Mayfield, a retired salesman for Balfour Ring Company, and a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Gates Hendley; one daughter, Kimberly Gates Dunaway of Louisville; one grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters; and one brother. His parents were Harold James Hendley Sr. and Grace Lovelace Hendley.

Memorial services will be at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013, at First Christian Church of Mayfield with Rev. Randy Cook officiating. There will be no visitation.
