BENTON — Dr. Cleland Ray “Buster” Freeman, M.D., 69, of Benton, KY., passed away at 7:23 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2012, at his home.
Dr. Freeman graduated from the University of Louisville Medical School in 1977. He was a General Practitioner and worked in his private practice until his retirement in 2008. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Hayes Freeman of Benton, Ky.; two sons, Shannon Freeman and Mitchell Freeman, both of Benton, Ky.; one daughter, Angie Hall of Benton, Ky.; one stepdaughter, Tina Bonds of Benton, Ky.; four grandchildren, Myranda Hall, Jared Hall, Danielle Minter and Matt Bonds; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Nancy Lomprey of Benton, Ky.; one niece, Leona Irvan of Benton, Ky.; two nephews, Ricky Henson and Ewing Henson, both of Benton, Ky.; and one brother-in-law, Evan Hayes of Phoenix, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Lee Freeman. His parents were Clevus Freeman and Zula Copeland Freeman.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory. Kevin Knees and Rev. Mike Littrell will officiate and burial will follow in the Freeman Family Cemetery.
