CADIZ — Douglas Freeman, 85, of Cadiz died Sunday at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.

Mr. Freeman was a farmer and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and former member of National Farmers Organization.

He is survived by two sons, Randy Freeman and Donnie Freeman; one daughter, Shirley Futrell; one brother, Ewing Freeman; one sister, Geneva Wilson, all of Cadiz; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Euneda Dixon Freeman; and one brother. His parents were Samuel Thomas Freeman and Ora Pearl Armstrong Freeman.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at King’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Thweatt officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
