CUNNINGHAM — Dorotha Fay Presson, 80, of Cunningham went home to be with her Lord at 11:20 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at Countryside Health Care.
Mrs. Presson was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday School secretary for many years and was very active in the Young at Heart group, planning many trips.
Mrs. Presson was a former accounts manager at the Fuller-Gilliam Hospital in Mayfield. She was active in the West Kentucky Baptist Association Hilltoppers and held many offices in the Woodmen of the World. She was also active in the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, holding various officer positions at both local and district levels. She was a member and officer of the Carlisle County and Cunningham Homemakers.
Mrs. Presson is survived by her husband, James H. Presson; a cousin, Patricia Williams Watson of Indiana; extended family members, Claudette Copeland and husband Larry of Cunningham, David M. Meeks of Memphis, Jonathan M. Meeks of Bardwell; sisters-in-law, Linda Willingham of Cunningham, and Frankie Hite of Cunningham; brothers-in-law, Lloyd Presson of Cunningham and Burl Hite of Cunningham; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Rayde E. Masters Twisdale; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Llindell and Joetta Presson; brother-in-law, Burnett Willingham; and extended family, Pat and Lunelle Sims.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Bro. David Hardy and Dr. Bill Mason officiating. Burial will follow in the Zoar Cemetery.
Visitation will be held after 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at Bethlehem Baptist Church.
