BENTON — Doris Jewell Payne, 64, of Benton, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at Marshall County Hospital.

She worked for Marshall County Hospital as a nurse’s aide. She was a member of Vanzora Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, James Lee Payne; two daughters, Donna Carroll of Benton and Paula Carper of Nashville, Tenn.; one son, Kevin Myers of Benton; her father, Albert Faughn of Benton; five sisters, Debbie Mitchell and Sharon Miller, both of Providence, and Darla McClain, Lois May Jones, and Martha Kay Collins, all of Benton; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jewel Catherine Faughn; and one brother.

Service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Collier Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Randy McClure officiating. Burial will follow in Gore Cemetery of Benton.
