LINDEN, Texas — Donald Baker Bartlett, 69, of Atlanta, Texas, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012, in a Texarkana hospital. He was born July 2, 1943, in Houston, Texas to Cecil and Tiny Johnson Bartlett. He retired after 20 years in the U.S. Army and was a member of the VFW. He served as worshipful master of Atlanta Masonic Lodge 463.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann of Atlanta; two daughters, Kathy Rivers of Atlanta and Marcia Rae of Paducah, Kentucky; a sister, Martha Cannon of Texarkana; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.
Mr. Bartlett was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Donna Kay and Jimmy Reyno; three brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday November 6, 2012, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home in Linden with the Rev. James Cowley and the Rev. Mike Akin officiating.
Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
