PRINCETON — Dixie “Tippy” Bumphus, 62, of Princeton died Saturday at University of Louisville Hospital. She was a retired production worker at Bremner and a member of Shepard Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Mark Bumphus of Princeton; two daughters, Mitzi Bumphus of Princeton and Angel Bumphus of Louisville; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dr. Walter Bumphus of Washington, D.C., and Michael Bumphus of Laurel, Md.; and four sisters, Paula Bumphus of Baltimore, Md.; Pamela Jordan of Laurel, Md.; Dionne O’Neal of Columbus, Ga.; and Dianne Bumphus of Louisville. Her parents were Charles and Rosie Mae Gray Bumphus. Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
