MELBER — Darse Riley, 94, of Melber, Ky., died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at Lourdes Hospital.
Darse was a member of Owens Chapel United Methodist Church. He retired from the Illinois Central Railroad, having worked both as a machinist and at the roundhouse.
He was a native of Graves County.
Survivors include two daughters, Delene (James) Mills and Linda Crump, both of Melber, Ky.; three grandchildren, Tim Mills, Melber, Ky., Paulette (David) Wolk, Leavenworth, Kan., and Tammy (Jason) Smith of Shawnee, Kan.; one brother, Gene Truman Riley, Melber, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death were his wife, Pauline Womble Riley; parents, James Edward and Emma Parker Riley; son-in-law, Jimmie Crump; two sisters, Hester Mae Sherron and Jenell Burnett; and one brother, Hillard Riley.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012, at the Owens Chapel United Methodist Church in Melber, Ky., with the Revs. Randy Story and Vida McClure officiating. Burial will follow in the Owens Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2012, at Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012, at the church.
