CALVERT CITY — Dallas V. Thorne, 70, of Calvert City, formerly of Butler, Ind., died Thursday in Calvert City.

He worked at Bohn Aluminum in Butler and the Indiana Highway Department. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.

Survivors include two daughters, Candice Conner of Elkhart and Lillie Hootman of Salt Lake City; two brothers, John Thorne and Reuben Thorne, both of Butler; three sisters, Carolyn Cannady and Laverne Highsby, both of Butler, and Marilyn Vittonel of Auburn; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Lillie Belle Thorne; a brother; and a sister.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at H.E. Johnson and Sons Funeral Home of Butler. Burial will be in Butler Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
