GILBERTSVILLE — Cletus A. Cross, age 88, of Gilbertsville, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at Marshall Co. Hospital in Benton, KY. He was a member of Oak Valley Church of Christ and was retired from Pittsburgh Metallurgical (CCMA) where he worked as a furnace operator.

He is survived by: his son: Rick Cross, wife Gaye, Austin, TX; great-grandchild: Seth Cross, Paducah, KY; and great-great-grandchild: Kaylie Cross of Morganfield, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Leonas Cross and Hallie Dotson Cross; wife: Charlene Johnston Cross; son: Donnie Dwain Cross; brothers: William Cross, Otho “Mooner” Cross; sister: Mary Vickers; and grandchild: Shannon Cross.

Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, P.O. Box 492, Benton, KY.

Funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2012, David Hendrickson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Marshall County Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.

Visitation will be held between the hours of 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2012, at the Collier Funeral Home.
