Cledis Settle, 71, of Paducah died at 1 a.m. Monday at his home.
Mr. Settle was a member of Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a former usher. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the local bricklayers union.
He is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Settle of Paducah; and two grandchildren, Kiyanese Settle and Kyris Settle, both of Paducah.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Settle; and one son, Cledis Lamont Settle. His parents were Nathan and Azzie Settle.
Services will be at noon Monday at Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. James L. Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Maplelawn Park Cemetery with military rites.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
