PRINCETON — Charlene Bumphus, 83, of Princeton died 3:30 a.m. Thursday at Princeton Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was a retired factory worker at Arvin Industries and a member of Spillman Chapel C.M.E. Church.

She is survived by four brothers, Anderson Jumper and John Dan Bumphus Jr., both of Edwardsville, lll., Marvin Bumphus and Keith Bumphus, both of Detroit, and six sisters, Lillian Harris and Gladys Sims, both of Princeton, Sharon Gordon of St. Louis, Ruth Ann McMillian of California, Catherine Mitchell and Mary Lee Shaw, both of Edwardsville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Dan and Charlie Elvira Bumphus.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Morgan’s Funeral Home with the Revs. Tammy Acree and Michael Reid and K. Solomon Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
