MAYFIELD — Carol Thornburg, 57, of Mayfield died Friday at her home.

Mrs. Thornburg worked for more than 30 years as a nurse at Britthaven Nursing Home in Benton.

She is survived by three daughters, Shayna Buntin and Ariana Futrell, both of Murray, and Sarah Thornburg; her mother, Doris Driver of Marion; a sister, Vicky Metcalfe of Central City; and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Thornburg was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Thornburg; her father, Coy Stallion; and an infant brother.

A memorial service is being planned for later.
