MURRAY — Bonita Thompson Ballard, 82, of Murray died at 10:42 p.m. Thursday at her home.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church and its Pairs and Spares Sunday school class.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Ballard; one daughter, Beverly Vasterling of Murray; one son, Jeffrey A. Ballard of Murray; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Joseph C. Ballard II, Jon Randall Ballard, and David Bryan Ballard, and one sister; her parents were Robert and Mable Thompson.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home with the Revs. Boyd Smith and Kerry Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Murray City Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
