KEVIL — Mr. and Mrs. Jack D. Woods of Kevil will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Kevil Community Building. All friends and relatives are invited to the reception hosted by their children. The couple requests no gifts.
Mr. Woods and the former Bobbie C. Bobo were married June 9, 1961, in Paducah by John Whetstone. Their attendants were Albert Sholar and Janet Fortson Felts.
Mr. and Mrs. Woods are self-employed tobacco and vegetable farmers. Mrs. Woods is the daughter of the late Caroll and Mossie Lee Bobo. Mr. Woods is the son of the late Audrey Woods and the late Mildred Woods.
They have four children: Douglas Lee Woods of Paducah, Sherry Darlene Lanier, Donna Kay Yancy and Angelala Dawn Horn, all of Kevil; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
