PRINCETON — Bob Schiltz, 90, of Caldwell County, died Monday, December 31, 2012, at West Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson following a long illness.

Mr. Schiltz was a World War II Navy veteran and was retired from Argon National Laboratories and a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Van Hooser-Schiltz; two sons, Jeff Schiltz of Mt. Vernon, Wash., and Ron Schiltz of Chicago; one granddaughter, Danielle Schiltz; three stepsons; Phillip Van Hooser of Caldwell County, Mark Van Hooser of Princeton, and Dan Van Hooser of Puryear, Tenn.; one stepdaughter, Ellen Dunning of Caldwell County; eight stepgrandchildren, Grant Dunning, Laura Fagin, Abby Hodge, Lauren Russell, Katie Van Hooser, Joe Van Hooser, Sarah Wade and Sopie Van Hooser; four stepgreat-grandchildren, Graham Hodge, Grayson Hodge, Hunter Hodge and Willow Van Hooser; one brother, Richard Schiltz of Carmichael, Calif.; two sisters, Rita Schiltz of Adrian, Mich., and Dorothy O’Connel of Dayton, Wash.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Schiltz, one son, Rick Schiltz, his parents, Nicholas Schiltz and Barbara Droessler Schiltz; two brothers, James and William Schiltz; one sister, Mary Louise Schiltz.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Morgan Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul’s Catholic Church.
