BENTON — Billy Morris Gattis, 83, of Benton died Friday, April 26, 2013, at Lourdes hospital.
He retired as a self-employed carpenter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann (Redden) Gattis; two sons, Carl Gattis of Benton and Gary Gattis of Texas; two brothers, Joe Ben Gattis of Fayetteville, Tenn., and Melvin Gattis of Petersburg, Tenn., and two sisters, Marie Campbell of Fayetteville and Mary Sullivan of Mulberry, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. His parents were Jack Gattis and Floy Duke Gattis.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Collier Funeral Home of Benton with Robert Chandler officiating. Burial will be in Haltom Cemetery in Benton.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
