BENTON — Mr. and Mrs. Joe W. Lovett of Benton celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Jan. 10.

Mr. Lovett and the former Betty Jean Weatherford were married Jan. 10, 1953, by the Rev. T.W. Young in Corinth, Miss. Their attendants were James M. and Francis Henson.

Mrs. Lovett is the daughter of the late Eura and Eunice Weatherford Wood. She is a retired nurse’s assistant from the Marshall County Hospital.

Mr. Lovett is the son of the late Joe H. and Nellie Lovett. He is a retired superintendent from the Marshall County Road and Engineering Dept.

They are the parents of Carl Lovett, Dennis Lovett, Darrell Lovett and Lisa Darlene Lovett McWherter, all of Benton. They nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
