MOUND CITY, Ill. — Betty Jo Harp, 86, of Mound City died at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was a member of Calvary Christian Fellowship Church in Wickliffe, Ky., and a school dietitian for Meridian School District.

She is survived by one son, William R. “Dick” Harp of Ullin; one daughter, Brenda Lowe of Mound City; one sister, Shelby Green of Sevierville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Harp; two sons, Timothy Harp and infant Billy Harp, and one brother. Her parents were William (Bill) Smithey and Esther (Weber) Smithey.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013, at Jones Funeral Home Villa Ridge with Rev. Joe Vance officiating. Interment will follow in Spencer Heights Cemetery in Mounds.
