Peanut and Janie Beshears of Brookport, Ill., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenny Nicole Beshears, to Zachary David Ermel, son of Diane and Terry Waid of Metropolis, Ill., and Kevin and Lonni Ermel of Elgin, Ill.

Miss Beshears is the granddaughter of the late Jim and Mary Klaffer, the late Billy Beshears and the late Della Lange. She is a 2008 graduate of Massac County High School in Metropolis and is attending West Kentucky Community & Technical College in Paducah. She is employed by the Sonic Corp. in Paducah.

Mr. Ermel is the grandson of Dennis and Juanita Lingle of Metropolis, Ill., Louis and Louisa Ermel of Elgin, Ill., and Josephine Waid of Paducah. He is a 2008 graduate of Massac County High School in Metropolis and attended Shawnee Community College in Ullin, Ill. He is employed by James Marine Inc. in Paducah and the Illinois Army National Guard.

Wedding vows will be exchanged at 5 p.m. Oct. 20 on the couple’s farm on Bay City Road in Brookport, Ill. All friends and relatives are invited. Only out-of-town invitations are being sent.
