Ray and Diane Barga of Gilbertsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Lee Barga, to Evan Long, son of George and Kathy Long of Benton.

Miss Barga is the granddaughter of Don and Norma Stephenson of Benton, and the late Florence and Joseph Barga. She is a 2003 graduate of Marshall County High School in Benton and a 2007 graduate of the University of Kentucky in Lexington with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She earned a juris doctorate degree in 2010 from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law and is an alumna of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She is employed by Bechtel, Inc., of Richmond.

Mr. Long is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Crider of Murray, the late Dorothy and Bob T. Long Sr., and Kitty Long of Murray. He is a 2001 graduate of Marshall County High School and a 2005 graduate of Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in business. He is a 2007 graduate of Xavier University with a master’s degree in health services administration and is an alumnus of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He is employed by Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.

An August wedding is planned.
