MAYFIELD — Amy Louise Burgess, 56, of Mayfield died Friday at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a retired nurse’s aide after 33 years at Community Hospital and Jackson Purchase Medical Center.

Ms. Burgess is survived by one son, Shawn Dale (Allison) Burgess of Mayfield; one daughter, Amy Michelle Burgess of Mayfield; three brothers, David Neal (Grace) Durbin and Billy Durbin of Mayfield, and Edwin Lee (Rita) Durbin of Reidland; one grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Clement and Mary Elizabeth Millsap Durbin Sr.; brother, James Allen Durbin; and two sisters, Daisy Barker and Mary Ruth Dublin.

Services for Amy Louise Burgess will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Fr. Eric Riley officiating. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call on the family between the hours of 5-9 p.m. on Monday at Byrn Funeral Home, where prayers will be said at 6 p.m.
